Growing up as an imaginative, creative child, Aurae devoted her time to writing stories about the world around her. Her writing is inspired by faith, a love for research and this world's beauty. Traveling throughout her home state of Oregon and the Northwest has inspired much of her writing. Her writing skills and creativity led to a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Advertising at the University of Oregon . Her previous journalism experience includes work at an Oregon Coast newspaper, and she self-published a newsletter, The Radiant Times , which was a creative outlet for family and friends. Her free-lance writing business, Radiant Emanations Creative Services , began in 2003. She is the Feature Writer for NW U.S./ Alaska Travel at an online magazine, Suite101.com.

Although writing is her true calling, she maintains a real job in healthcare. She aims to help make our U.S. Healthcare system work more efficiently, providing coverage to every citizen, and promoting prevention and innovation. She earned a graduate certificate in Healthcare Management and Policy from Oregon State University in 2006. She is currently working towards a Masters in Healthcare Administration at Pacific University .
